As healthcare reporting shifts toward electronic quality measure reporting (e.g. SCIP, Joint Commission, CCJR, CMS’ meaningful use reporting requirements) hospitals are finding significant variances between their actual performance (manually abstracted results) and their electronically generated quality measure metrics. With an increased focus on electronic quality reporting and pending reimbursement shifts to pay for performance, the variances need to be addressed and the electronic quality data reporting needs to be accurate.

Coratek works with hospitals to address these variances and assess their quality reporting; from providing guidance on the build, implementation and new functionality as it relates to data capture (i.e. capturing principal procedures, ICD-10 and SNOMED coding and procedure start/stop times) through testing of software interfaces / functionality and then validation of quality metric and/or extract results.
